Ms. Dukes is an Obie Award winning actress Based in New York City hailing from Washington DC. She can currently be seen playing Bessie and others in Native Son at Yale Repertory Theatre after just appearing on NCIS: New Orleans Season 4 as Scary Mary. Recent credits also include Intimate Apparel at Mccarter Theatre, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth at Actors Theatre of Louisville directed by Les Waters. Other credits include Detroit 67 at Centerstage Baltimore and Detroit Public Theatre directed by Kamilah Forbes. Other TV appearances include The Good Wife, CBS and A Raisin In The Sun Revisited on PBS as well as commercials.  She has performed with numerous theaters and theatre companies around the country such as The Second City in Chicago, and Arena Stage where she performed back to back in King Hedley II by August Wilson Directed by Timothy Douglas and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang Directed by Aaron Posner. She has performed at Baltimore’s Centerstage where she stared in Beneatha’s Place and Clybourne Park as apart of The Raisin Cycle. Ms. Dukes is Born and Raised in the DC area where her credits include: Arena Stage, Folger Theatre, Fords Theatre, Studio Theatre,The Kennedy Center, The Lincoln Theatre, African Continuum Company, The Washington Stage Guild, Theatre Alliance, Tribute Productions, Round House Theatre, Theatre J, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre where she is apart of the acting company. Ms Dukes has one an award for Best actress twice in Baltimore for both her roles in The Raisin Cycle. She has been apart of 4 Helen Hayes best ensemble nominations and one Suzi Bass best ensemple nomination. She received a Helen Hayes Best Lead Actress in a Musical Nomination for her role in Spunk. Ms. Dukes has also taught classes at NYU (Tish), Howard University, Montgomery College, Imagination Stage, Traveling Players Ensemble.
